One such champion became the greatest of all and led the people to a golden age of wonder, forging science and mystery into one. But the figure ascended, or abandoned the realms, or died... depending on who you asked. The people could not bear the loss of their god and soon they too became lost. As they remember, so let us remember them, to honor and mourn and see through their eyes... to cry, to laugh, to cheer with them through the beat and breath of their lives. For each step they take, we'll be there, for better and worse. But it is no mundane tale, for the one who dares to take this great journey. Through the calm lies the storm of chaos, lies history in the remakingβ¦</p> <p>Through the calm lies evolution.</p> <p>What can you expect? An epic inspired by the novel fantasy and science fantasy tomes of the ages, designed with a steadily increasing pace until latter crescendos. Expect a unique setting and high detail. Often heavy descriptions to paint the scene. Chapters frequently on the long side. Occasionally other viewpoints (but not for a hundred thousand words in, or more). Peoples and cultures that have similarities to ours, that look much like us, but are not quite us. A protagonist that will grow into his own with time, but is entirely unready... for now.</p> <p>What should you not expect? Direct smut β and really any particular extreme thing just for its sake alone. Romance does exist and have relevance, its threads woven into the fabric of the tale. For the most part, the tale is simulative, aiming for deep connections and understandings of character experience while obeying their reality. Nothing is intended to be gratuitous, but to serve the story β whether immediately obvious or no. Many characters will think about sex or talk about it to some degree, as well as the possibility of conducting in it behind a fade-to-black. Nudity can also occur.</p> <p>No f-bombs, though other curse words can make an appearance, and there will be new words and substitutions similar to all the storied favorites of humanity, in the fine tradition of speculative fiction through the ages.</p>
