For Vance, there were three basic rules he abided by for his job:

1: No Delivering People.

2: No Delivering Weapons.

3: No Opening the Package.

He was a courier that worked in New Tokyo, a giant city that has plenty of advanced technology, on a large island right within the center of the Sea of Fire fifty years ago, in the year 2055. It is now the year 2105, and Vance Alzo works as courier, after having stopped being a detective ten years ago. And yet, perhaps as fate is not so kind on someone, he may just find himself into breaking all of his rules and getting connected to even more dangerous cases and jobs.

And if that wasn't enough, he will have to take care of two young boys amid all this! But they are not normal boys, and this definitely wont be a normal relationship.

Oz and Astra were two brothers, young boys who were abandoned by their parents long ago, and placed into a orphanage. It wasn't all that great, or all that rich, but the two boys showed signs of intelligence and craftiness. However, at one point they were "adopted" by a place called The Institute. It took in plenty of orphans and provided them with a place to live, an education, technology, medicine, food, things like that.

However, they were not taken to the public face of the Academy, but its brutal underground, where many other orphans had been taken, those lost between the cracks, who no one would go looking for, children who seemed useful, and they could just claim as having disappeared in the system. They used them for lab experiments, treating them more like labrats then like people. To try and develop psychic powers, create even more powerful psychics. Bar codes were imprinted on their skin that, when scanned, would give people a variety of their biological data and their powers, as well as methods to control them. They ended up becoming quite talented and capable.

And then, they were "sold" to a client. But fate intervened, and they ended up meeting Vance. Now they are on the run, with there being lots of people who want to "acquire" them, and some who just want to outright kill them. The entire island might as well be on lockdown for them, but perhaps if they can use the former detective, Vance, to hide their own movements, they might just be able to investigate and uncover the truth about The Institute, and by exposing them to the world, set themselves free.

(Cover Art from Wiki Commons, a free to use image source location)
