Throughout history, deities pervade the story of humanity. These all-powerful figures instill the fear of the unknown into us; a visceral fear of the world after this one, and unconditional respect to their power. But one notion that seems to elude many of the religions today, is what purpose gods serve after the universe's creation, if they do exist.

That purpose is to protect humanity from destruction.

Dorusc the Aloof is one such deity. Wearied by the stagnation mortal realm, and bored of living in secrecy away from the other gods, he pauses his monotony to explore the many worlds in existence.

As he soon discovers, not all is right with the multiverse. One of the countless fell out of the order painstakingly kept by the deities. The veil shrouding the Underworld was tearing hideous monsters and demons the likes of which only the gods have borne witness to, were now free to wreak havoc. Within three years, the veil would fully shatter, spelling doom for the world's inhabitants.

A devious plot is brewing. Dorusc, fearing the worst, takes this news to the highest authority in the Realm of Deities, The Lord of Deities, Majestic, in the hope that somehow it could be saved.

But instead, his concern is met with betrayal. A deep-seated grudge, coupled with trumped charges of treason against Logius, calls for his banishment into the dark portal from whence all deities originate.

The Exodus.

Framed for breaching the Logius Code, the law prohibiting deities from directly interfering with the mortal realm's affairs, and now, filled with an inexorable drive for revenge, Dorusc must survive in the very world he sought to save in the body of a mortal.

There are only three years left until armageddon's call. Can he regain his power as a deity in time to halt Majestic's plot? Or will the little ground he managed to hold onto slip out from under him, and into oblivion?
