UPDATE 2022-02-06

After the first three weeks it's clear this story is not meshing with the readership on this website. I will stop publishing the rest of the chapters and will re-evaluate what to do with the story. My deepest apologies for those 10-15 of you who were actually reading the new chapters, but unfortunately writing and editing does take a lot of time and effort, and it is simply not worth it if there are only a handful of people reading the story.

When you play the Gambit of Guilds, you win, you lose, or you end up somewhere in the middle.

Welcome to my first work of fiction that has gotten out of my desk drawer! Gambit of Guilds is *not* a LitRPG. Instead, it's Progression-focused GameLit, which to me is like LitRPG but without explicit numbers, skills, named equipment, etc. As such, it's more of a regular fantasy story but in a world that does contain plenty of MMORPG-like features like guilds, raids, progression, and so on. Expect to see blood magic, DNA splicing, HEMA-approved equipment and more!

I currently (2022-01-20) have a finished backlog of 63k words, or 26 chapters. I have planned the overall plot for about 100 chapters. We'll see about the future when we get there, depending on if people have liked the story or not.

Release schedule will be M-W-F because unfortunately I need to also do my boring regular desk job to pay my ridiculously high rent, and I want to be able to sustain a steady pace rather than rush to get the backlog out and then stagnate.
