Hello, and welcome to my emporium.

I'm not superb at introductions, so please allow my wares to speak of my character and ability instead.

Why yes, those are indeed potions of everlasting vitality! Lesser, mind, not the type acquired when extracted directly via the heart of the Spriggan.

Ah! Good eye, mada'am. Correct, this mantle here is the graceful joining of frost drake scales carefully moulded into a dire snow wolf's pelt. The insulation and shell magic it provides its wearer cannot be beaten!

Hmm. "Where?" you ask, do I acquire such goods? Why that's a trade secret I'm afraid. Though of the extreme peril which my providers must endure, I can ensure you it is always well rewarded.

Me? I'm just a humble shop owner, miss. A humble shop owner of the middle rim.

These scars? Ah. Memories of a reckless youth, really. Too much galavanting around playing Hero, well passed the age I should have stopped.

Haha, no... I'm sure your little ones will avoid the same childish mistakes I made.

Oh, you'll take a box of potions and the mantle? Of course! I'd be happy to prepare them for you.

G'day my dear, and may the rest of your evening be as lovely as you.

As the customer exits my shop with a bright smile, I allow my cheery facade to drop.

Ugh. Fucking prim and proper, all this, all that. Blah, blah, blahhh... Buy your goods, and get out of my hair.

I can't stand the stink of you humans.

Heyo Royal Road, back at it again with the new stories :]. Actually burned through the first 10k~ ish words fairly quickly the last few days, so I'm hoping that means I'll have the motivation to create a proper finished product this time around.

Going to aim to complete most of the first arc before I start regular chapter posts, this prologue upload is mainly just as a placeholder and as further motivation for myself to write. Nothing but time at home to do so these days, so wish me luck.

*The cover art belongs to Yu Cheng Hong, crazy good artist. Just a placeholder for now (let me know if you want it taken down and I will immediately comply!), if this story takes off I plan to commission a proper cover from them.
