<p>"There is no such thing as a righteous goat." In a world of anthropomorphic animals, an individual's species determines everything: their purpose, their burdens, and what the Goddess has planned for them. Clover is a goat, orphaned after a theocratic empire's cleansing against her "spiritually bankrupt" species. Agnes is a sheep, pure and benevolent; a member of the ruling flock but who hides a terrible secret. When Clover uses Agnes as a means to avenge her species, foundations begin to crumble in ways that can bring the empire to its knees. In the midst of it all, a forbidden bond forms between the two, threatening far more than just the living, but also the divine.</p> <p>What to expect: - A queer mishmash between the likes of Hunchback of Notre Dame and His Dark Materials, but with an anthropomorphic cast. - A sapphic, forbidden romance between the two lead characters. - A largely female cast. - A dissection of religious extremism, guilt, and spiritual abuse. - Gothic and biblical aesthetics. - A sense of hope within a grim setting.</p>
