<p>Wraithaven is the story of a dying world. A world forced into constant chaos and strife. A safe haven, only for the dead. Talantra, this so-called haven of wraiths, is a world who isn't content to die in a meek silence, but with teeth and claws to drag down as many other worlds as it can. In the fantastical, fractured world of Talantra, portals rip open the fabric of reality, pulling in beings and objects from distant realms, causing untold chaos. Among the latest arrivals are Max Liden and Kate Waters, two genetically enhanced humans from the futuristic Earth-18. Stranded in this nightmarish hellscape of magic and monsters, they must navigate a world where everyday is a constant battle, relying on their enhancements and knowledge to survive and thrive.</p> <p>Countless other races and species struggle to coexist after being abducted. Cultures clash, and animals grow into ruthless monsters. Kingdoms rise and fall as quickly as the grass grows. In this new reality constructed from bits of a thousand alien worlds, Max relies heavily on his growing prowess in magitech engineering and Kate in her pure combat skills to overcome challenges and pursue that ever-distant hope of safety and salvation. They will do whatever it takes to survive.</p> <p>What to Expect:</p> <p>- This story is a grimdark LitRPG. The system in this story is largely a combination of Max's own neural implants combined with existing magitech to try and understand how magic works. As the story continues, this new system will expand as Max continues to add to it by learning more about the world.</p> <p>- The tone of the story is largely in the gray area. Lot's of dark parts with the tone, but a balance of light parts as well. I want to keep this story balanced somewhere in the middle, ideally. Characters will be morally gray, more often than not.</p> <p>- Magitech will be a key focus of this story, as that will be the primary tool used by Max and Kate to grow and will be a core pillar of the story progression.</p> <p>- Release schedule will be inconsistent. I don't have a lot of free time and I'm only writing this story as a fun weekend hobby. Sorry.</p>
