Beneath the sky of worms, Insect Gods rule the subterranean world of Brightlyre.

In the far south, a godkiller in search of the Insect God of 'War' stumbles upon a lighthouse under the never-setting moon. Within it, she finds a statue of a little boy, covered in ice and standing in an empty throne room. Believing him a monument to a forgotten Insect God, she decides to put him out of his lonesome misery – until she accidentally thaws the ice, waking the boy from his thousand-year slumber.

The world freezes. Bells of calamity ring. The boy introduces himself as 'Absolute', the one and only Worm God in the world, and the godkiller knew she awakened something that should have well remained frozen.

… Brightlyre sees its strongest god walking once more.

What to expect:

A powerful and mysterious main character seen through the perspective of multiple protagonists' POV. The protagonist changes every arc, but the main character connects all of them with his worm abilities.

A massive insect-based fantasy world explored through lots of travelling, inspired by Arabic/Spanish/Chinese/Celtic cultures. This is a travel-heavy story. Characters move from place to place between arcs, making for a story with lots of character and landscape illustrations, all AI-made and then edited by me.

A shared world with 'The Moth of Brightlyre' and 'The Centipede of Brightlyre'. It isn't necessary to read all three to understand what happens in one, however. There is no read order. Each story can be read completely standalone and you won't miss out on anything.

If you like ultra-long fantasy epics with heavy adventure and mystery elements, 'The Worm of Brightlyre' might just be the right story for you.

(This is a rewrite of 'World Concept - A' book 1, so the chapters are already fully written! Updates bi/daily until book 1 is finished!)
