After doing everything the right way in the first timeline, Frisk was compelled to do the genocide route for what they felt were "good" reasons. In doing so, they have broken utterly and become something new. Something absolutely devoted to Sans, and not remotely sane. Now they are striving to fix everything and find their path forward. What the hell is Sans supposed to do now?

This story is born of my own extremely tangled feelings about doing the genocide route. It was not originally planned to have any sexual content, it wasn't even going to be a romance. It was just my own soul bleeding out, my own complicated feelings towards Sans, and wanting to find an in-universe expression for it. Then hundreds of thousands of words happened, and also really, uh, erotic stuff, and I'm like, whatever, sure, let's share this.

I have a thorough backstory for Sans that explains so many things. I do deviate from canon in a few ways, but it's mostly the same. A key thing - Frisk is not, at any point, a child in this story. It does take a long time before Sans' stuff is explored at all. Sans is kinda tight-lipped, but there's oodles of hints scattered throughout.

It's also about 80k words before anything sexual happens, or even really anything romance. Look, I don't even know what this story is, but I like it, and my wife likes it, so maybe you will, too. It's an exploration of a world in which Frisk commits the genocide route for sorta-good reasons, loses their mind, latches onto Sans in a frankly insane way, and all the fallout that comes from those basic points.

A few final points. All of Sans' dialogue is in Comic Sans, written the way it is in game, which for some reason isn't successfully copy-pasted into RR. :( So you'll have to live with his lowercase writing combined with a regular font. Chapter 1 is basically the only chapter in which game dialogue is directly copied, but he speaks a lot. He tends to be the viewpoint character.

This story isn't done, but it's large. I do want to finish it, but no promises. It has two reasonable arcs finished, though - the "prologue" arc, if you will, that happens in the Underground (which needs a better name...), overlapping the events of the game, and the "dawn" arc, the first arc of events that happens after emerging from the underground. IMO, the second arc is way better. I do want to do a few editing passes before submitting some of it, but it has been written.

So, real info on the content warning:

Profanity - I really don't think it's enough cursing to warrant the tag, but also I curse a lot myself, so I checked it just in case.

Sexual content - when sexy stuff happens, it's explicit, but that doesn't even start to get touched on for about 80k words.

Graphic violence - It's absolutely not a gore-fest. At the same time, Frisk gets extremely accustomed to violence and death, and that's played with extensively. It's rarely graphic, but if you're squeamish about mentions of blood and physical harm, maybe pass on this. The first chapter is fairly tame, so it might be a good benchmark - if you agree it's tame, you're fine.

Sensitive content - Lots of little things here, but nothing too bad? Neither Sans nor Frisk are remotely mentally healthy, in dramatically different ways. Frisk has been kinda completely fucked up, especially from the genocide route. There are complications that result from this.

Also, the cover art was generated by the website crAIyon. If I ever make money off this (which, let's be real, will never happen) I'd commission an actual artist.

Lastly, I'll be posting this on a few other places, such as ArchiveOfOurOwn, with the same username (EllaWhyteTales). It's also currently on Fanfiction.net.

I think that's good? Maybe? I dunno. Go ahead and read now, if you want.
