Betrayed by his own subordinates, the Prince of Demons finds his soul whisked away to the mortal world... where he learns that the other Demon Lords have totally since stolen his plans for world domination! However, when a mysterious loophole suddenly grants Orcus entry to the worldly system, the supposed "master of misery and evil" just might have to master the art of adventuring himself. For if he does, surely he can purge the mortal realm of, uh… wait, all misery and evil?! That's right. Because if the God of Undeath can't conquer the mortal world, then by all that's unholy, nobody gets to!

Updates: Monday to Thursday, x1 chapter per day

Evildoers, Beware! The Prince of Demons is an Unreasonably Sore Loser

Hi there :3. This is a relatively laidback "zero-to-hero" romp, in which our power-hungry protag will take some quests, kill some mobs, and maybe make a friend or two along the way. The content warning tags are generally for futureproofing. Some things to expect:

- D&D-based progression elements (5E), with slow leveling and homebrew mechanics for this story's system; lower xp yields = more grinding! And more narrative/strategy at each level. I don't foresee a level 20 story atm, but definitely a minimum of level 12.

- A slow-to-moderate story pace with a focus on the "Hero's" party, and stronghold building after a certain level.

- Tags: Slice of life, levity, intrigue, "turn-based" action or a hybrid or sorts (we'll see if it gets too clunky), and plenty of inter-party narratives.

- Interlude chapters for all of the main party members sprinkled throughout (minimum of 1 for every 10 chapters or so).

- Themes: Not necessarily a "feel good" story, but definitely not an evil/grimdark story either. Something in-between, though more towards the former. I tagged for comedy to keep it light-hearted and so as to not take itself too seriously, but it will get very serious/dramatic at times.

- Uploads: I'm uploading 4 times a week while my backlog grows, but I may increase to 5 times a week if I feel the jump is worthwhile.

Thanks for reading! Please leave comments. ratings, or reviews to let me know what you think of the story thus far.
