<p>The path to Immortality is best traveled numerically—a journey of Master and Disciple to the peak from the gutter.</p> <p>Shun is a cripple from an established sect, unable to cultivate. When a master cultivator by the name of Xu Tai gives him a system that allows him to turn essence into stats and grow stronger despite his defect, Shun's life changes in a way he never could've imagined.</p> <p>Will be posting five chapters on the day of submission, one hour apart. After that, I will switch to a regular M-F posting schedule. Chapter length is minimum 2500 words but the earlier chapters are longer to establish the setting.</p> <p>Full Synopsis:</p> <p>Shun is a Core disciple of the Hao clan, a fire-based sect residing in the mountains of Quasset Valley. However, it might be more accurate to refer to him as a slave. After an accident that destroyed his meridians ten years ago when Shun was eight, he became unable to cultivate essence and was considered no better than trash. Though he works hard each day, there is nothing that can be done to fix him, a fate he had accepted long ago.</p> <p>Xu Tai is a master cultivator from a place far above the Realm of Mortals. After a century of training, he created the Path of Numbers, a Talent of Dao that allows a cultivator to absorb essence and process it into attribute points, raising their stats over time in a way no other cultivator could replicate.</p> <p>When Xu Tai finds himself in the Realm of Mortals after escaping a band of cultists that wish to take the Path of Numbers from him, coming face to face with Shun, both of their fates change, setting them down a path that challenges the heavens.</p> <p>[Participant in the Royal Road Writahon Challenge]</p>
