As a great danger that cannot be seen nor understood approaches earth, humanity struggles with a difficult decision, to take a leap of faith or face almost certain death.

Kaleb was doing his best sticking to his 9 to 6 job, even as the country went to hell and people started losing hope, even as they tore apart shopfronts and made walking the streets an adventure. And as hope eroded bit by bit, so did his options, until there was only one left.

As an old world perishes, a new world embraces what's left of humanity, but how welcoming can it really be? Especially when they're not its first settlers.

-----------------------

A heads up: This is not a number crunching story. The game elements are real but they're not as intrusive as is expected in a crunchy LitRPG.

The story mostly takes place in a medievalesque fantasy world where magic is no myth.

This story tries to adhere to the Iceberg Theory as much as possible, meaning that it keeps an internal consistency through, sometimes, underlying reasoning. So there's little-to-no hand-waving and no 'this is just how it is' approach, regardless of whether a character's perspective suggests otherwise.
