<p>The world has been destroyed by eldritch creatures known as the Corrupted, driving humanity to the brink of extinction. Only the strength provided by the System allows them to hang on by a hair's breadth. Once per year, those who have come of age in the past year are given the opportunity to take the Pilgrimage and gain the power of the System.
