She was a hundred kilometers in diameter, fitted with every luxury and necessity known to man, as well as the machines necessary to produce them from the bounties of space. However, not a single weapon was allowed to mar her sheer metallic surface. Instead she was accompanied by a massive fleet of warships. It was to be a parade, after all. A show of peace to end the decades of conflict between the Orion Spur's greatest factions; the Empire, Federation and the Union. However, she, her escorts, and the six hundred thousand souls aboard them all, never arrived at their first destination. Nor did they ever return. This is the story of Serenity and those she cared for.
