<p> Thousands of years after society as we know it was wiped out by a massive solar flare, humanity has rebuilt a new civilization and is once again curious about those who came before them. This is the story of Dr. Oren Redridge, an exploratory archeologist specializing in ruins from the time of "the Ancients", as he investigates a newly discovered site east of what was once Carlsbad, New Mexico and the deadly horrors he finds within. </p> <p> </p> <p> Set in the ruins of the Waste Isolation Pilot Plant, a nuclear waste repository. As scientifically accurate as I could make it, but a few sacrifices were made for the sake of the story. Mild gore near the end. Written as a series of field journal entries. ~3k words. </p>
