In the grand expanse of a certain galaxy, a world named Yuma exists. This world is filled with existences such as humans, plants, animals, and beasts.

Beasts are enlarged plants or animals with decent intelligence and explosive strength. Both humans and beasts can unlock a power after gaining an understanding of one of the laws that govern Yuma.

Humans and beasts had always been in conflict since their consciousness formed and their desires hung over them.

It was simply natural selection, survival of the fittest.

The humans as of now had almost completely subdued the beasts and were living in a world with tall buildings which pierced the skies and 'carriages' that drove without horses after tens of thousands of years of evolution!

Still, nothing lasts forever. Gradually, the highest seat which humans had sat on for countless years was cracking from underneath them, unbeknownst to them.

A 'person' wearing a baseball cap which shaded his face came stumbling out of a forest next to a city and let out a quiet, inhuman growl.

-

Yoni Dawson is an average university student with a pretty face and nice demeanor. Her wavy brown hair that was slightly lighter at the ends due to sun exposure was haphazardly strewn about. Her deep, light brown eyes stared up at the bright blue sky in confusion.

Her bag's contents were strewn across the street as she lied in a pool of her own blood.

A vermillion red car was parked a meter away with an obvious dent on the front.

A man blocked the sunlight as he was crouched down and spoke to her in a panicked voice.

He tried feeling her pulse and shaking her to stay awake, but it was meaningless.

Because Yoni heard none of it, saw none of it, smelled none of it.. felt none of it…

Because she had died.

-

Death had not felt like an eternity, on the contrary, it felt like no time had passed at all.

Yoni still felt like she was lying on the ground, staring up at the sky, but she was not.

She saw nothing at all. Yoni was reminded of a video she watched of a person explaining colors to a blind person.

The blind person in the video had said that they don't see the color black, or any color for that matter, but nothing at all. That was how Yoni interpreted the 'scene' in front of her.

'Something' entered her 'body' from all directions. Yoni had not yet woken up completely and was at the mercy of the mysterious force that entered her.

A will entered her mind and soon, her 'brain' formed words.

'Yuma..danger….emissary….zombies…..assistance…'

Gradually, Yoni came to understand as her vision came back to her.

"I am the emissary of this world!"

She declared loudly as she came into this world once again, a completely different person.

-

Author's note: This story is not just a zombie apocalypse novel, and Yuma is not the only world she will be saving.

Follow Yoni on her journey to earn the right to earn the title 'Emissary of Worlds'!
