<p>With the advent of the Fimbulvetr, mechanical monsters known as the Jotun arrived. Three centuries later, earth is now a frozen wasteland of snow and ice. The only place safe is Yggdrasil, a giant artificial tree that serves as humanity's last remaining settlement. Fighting back against the Jotun are the Valkyrie; warriors who call upon the powers of mythological heroes, protecting and serving Yggdrasil. After a no-good very bad prank that went horribly wrong, a young street boy discovers that he too has the power to become a Valkyrie.
