This story is beyond me at the moment. It started as a bit of fun, but now [up to Chapter 26] there are eight different types of aliens and about a thousand other things to delineate, and I don't have the time to properly flesh it out or think about it. Even worse, I'm starting to feel frustrated with my own story. Mostly the pacing. 85,000 words and I'm barely a third of the way through my initial outline. Not a good sign.

I'll leave it on hiatus, but I'm not sure when I'll come back to it. I will probably re-write it when i have more time. If i post something else on here, it'll be something much simpler in concept. Or something I've written and completed first.

For the few people who were following, I release you from your prison. No more wondering, 'hey, is anything actually gonna happen in this story?'

---

Stuck in a job he hates but can't quit, Trig gets a jolt of life when he witnesses a guy vanish under an overpass one night.

The only clues left behind: a mysterious green stain and an oddly placed maintenance door.

Could it be aliens?

A serial killing wizard living in an underpass?

Isekai weirdness??

Roping in two of his friends, Trig sets out to...just relieve his boredom, basically, but things soon turn dark and before long all three of them find themselves in a very different, very unsettling place.

*Participant in the Royal Road Writathon Challenge
