Two troubled teens, raised as siblings, try fighting their attraction to one another, while struggling to uncover the truly unexplainable and unimaginable reasons why their entire lives were a lie.

Sky and Star were raised as brother and sister. As they got older they began to realize that there was much about them that was completely unexplainable and deliberately being hidden from them. Struggling with the feelings they were raised to believe they shouldn't have for one another, and all the pain that causes them, the two search desperately to uncover the truth about who... or what they really are.

All of their lives, their adoptive parents had told Sky and Star that they were twins who were left without any actual parents before being taken in by them. When they were children, they accepted this truth. As they grew older, the gaps in their past only seemed to grow wider and more apparent. And the answers they were given grew more vague. This mystery surrounding their past became even more difficult when puberty brought with it an intense attraction to one another.

Having spent their lives being told they were siblings, their feelings for each other were a constant source of shame, fear and despair. Having to suppress those feelings in the presence of anyone else, including their own extremely distant and secretive parents only caused more pain. That pain manifested in a darkness deepening in them with each day that they failed to get any real answers to who they were and where they came from; and most dusturbingly, why they were nearly incapable of resisting the otherworldly pull they had toward one another.

Upon reaching their breaking point in trying to suppress their feelings for one another, Sky and Star discover that there is much more to who or what they even are; and why they're incapable of ever resisting their feelings for one another. And that is a secret that others would do anything to keep them from discovering.

Even after beginning to unravel the truth about themselves, their lives would be far from simple. Keeping the secret of their existence was fraught with danger from everyone around them. And that secret being discovered would only lead to nightmarish pain and trauma on top of the years already spent fighting their own desires and drowning in guilt over them.

They didn't ask for their strange desires and abilities, but they would be the ones to pay for even being what they were at all. Would they ever find the strength to deal with secrets, desires, abilities, and the danger that even trying to survive their world at all would bring? Or will the truth of what they are and what they can do be too much for them to survive at all?

*This story does deal with difficult issues such as suicide, abuse and rape. Though I try to do so in the most realistic, sensitive and sympathetic way possible. So be advised that these themes are included in the book (though not very explicitly shown). And I hope you'll give it a chance nonetheless.*
