Maya died. At least, that's her working theory. She doesn't really remember much of it. And now she's in a game. Or a game-like world. It's not really clear, but it's what she has to live with. Not that she minds much, she always loved games. Or she thinks she did. It's hard to recall details.

When she's offered a rare special starting class, she accepts. That's just what you do when a chance like that comes along. But, turns out, luck doesn't only go one direction. With her fate spinning on the roll of a die from day to day, her direction determined by an unfathomable force of chaos, she'll have to decide how far she's willing to go.

But it's just a game, after all. No matter how realistic, it's still only a game.

Right?

-----

 Author's Note :

Trickster's Fate is my 2019 NANOWRIMO project - I'm aiming for a chapter every 1-2 days, and my goal is to finish the first arc within the month. Also, fair warning, I've been told repeatedly that my stories tend to be on the slow side so don't be surprised if it takes a while to get anywhere.

I welcome suggestions for improvement. This is a nano draft so please point out any typos or nonsense which may have slipped through and I'll correct it ASAP.

 Thanks for reading!

Also, [Participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge], because why not?
