Those who are fortunate enough to consider themselves free fight until their last to try and make the world a better place for their families, friends, and the future. </p> <p> The draft requires all able-bodied men and women to serve time in the military when they are of age. Some even enlist before they are adults in hopes of avenging the lost. Many wish to pilot versatile strike units, but only a few prove able to do so. These giant machines resemble human form and require only the best of pilots. Now, an ace pilot finds himself reassigned to instructing. He will do whatever it takes to ensure a brighter future for his daughter, whether that means fighting on the front lines as a VSU pilot or passing on his skills to the next generation of pilots. </p> <p> <strong> Author's Note: </strong> This story is not for those who cannot handle foul language. The cover is temporary pending on how successful this story is. You should expect there to be anime / light novel themes in this story, and while I'm not going to tag it as slice of life, there <em> will </em> be many slice of life scenes as I like to place a heavy emphasis on character interactions, relationships, and dialogue. Furthermore, the first major arc of the story takes place instructing new cadets on-base. There will not be much mecha action in the beginning. However, when we <em> do </em> get to the mecha action, you can expect plenty of it. Also, it's important to keep in mind that this is <em> not </em> meant to be a realistic depiction of how a military works. </p> <p> <strong> Inspired By: </strong> Muv-Luv Alternative, Macross, Gundam, Space Battleship Yamato, Battlestar Galactica, and Valkyria Chronicles </p>
