<p>Aniki Adams is a normal enough guy, with a passion for a children's card game. Of course, he's watched the anime, loved the game... well, except for Zexal. That one always just seemed to fall to the wayside in favor of more important things. So it's much to his chagrin when he's reincarnated into the world of the anime as someone with the same name. Still, he's going to make the best of it. It's a world of card games saving the world! Everything is better, or would be, if anyone actually had half a brain!</p> <p>Join Aniki as he builds a gang of misfits, goons and goobers, and teaches them how to save the world, one draw at a time.</p> <p>What to expect:</p> <p>- This is a fanfic of Yu-Gi-Oh Zexal. There will be dueling. You have been warned.</p> <p>- A MC that swaps decks frequently, and several interesting archetypes wielded by friend and foe alike.</p> <p>- Teambuilding, but not harem building or romance. Pretty much everyone in Zexal is like, 13, and I don't even wanna try and deal with that mess.</p> <p>- Possible swearing/violence/sensitive content. While not explicitly planned for shock value, I put them there just in case, here be dragons.</p> <p>- Actual teaching. Aniki is gonna be a teacher, not just a duelist. This means the novel will likely get into some pretty basic stuff, though not too basic. I'm not explaining what a field spell does, but card advantage as a concept can be difficult to grasp for newcomers.</p> <p>- Breaking away from cannon slightly. This is a problem with Zexal more than anything, but Yuma is pretty much the only one who gets to do anything past the tournament arc, and that will inevitably cause problems. I'll stick to cannon when I can, but I'm not gonna shy away from a bit more realism when it's necessary.</p>
