There are no heroes. It's a statement thrown around when describing the profession of Delvers. At one point in time, they were the only people standing between normal civilians and monsters who appeared from the appearance of the Abyss.

Now, with rising birth rates, five worlds populated with trillions of people, and several generations of people who have gained access to Mana, the grandeur of the title of Delver is not as bright. That doesn't stop the job from being well paying, though. Something that drives people towards danger more often than not.

Just remember, the people who Delve into the Abyss, they rarely are heroes.

There will be no "system" the characters have to figure out their abilities slowly. The MC will not get super-breaktheworld-strong within a couple chapters. There will be an emphasis on world-building and character interactions, but I will try to throw in action scenes that scratch that itch. Some things that might turn people off, so if you don't like any of the below, they're listed here for your convenience:

-MC goes to an Academy-type place :: its just a good way to build the world, but if you don't like them, then its okay.

-No Harem :: the MC will never be with more than one girl, and even then, romance will not appear anywhere in the beginning.

-Slowish :: I will try to speed things up so its not just an endless stream of random scenes. However, I do like to slow things down between action scenes so you as a reader can take in the world.

-Bad Stuff :: Okay, there will be violence, blood, death, mentions of drugs (that are not the main thing), and other unsavory things. If you are squeemish or dislike certain darker themes, this probably isn't for you.

-Weekly update :: I will start to update every Sunday regularly. However, I have already posted chapters on Webnovel under the same novel title, and until I catch up to that one, I will post every Wednesday and Sunday. If anything comes up that stops me from doing so, I will address it in an untitled chapter.
