"System Integration of Earth has begun. Newest experimental system version deploying."

They were so similar to the words that many a story Dren had read, started with. A new world being integrated into some grand system-filled universe. Levels. Attributes. Quests. Dungeons. Fame, Wealth, and Power. All were things that would come to those he read about. Those newly integrated learning and growing at incredible rates. Strange challenges and of course invaders from the wider universe seeking power or wealth of their own. As they attempted to conquer the unprepared new world.

He had loved reading about them and his greatest dream was to take part in such a thing. To be freed from his crippled body that grew more frail with each passing year. At eighteen he was already only a few short years away from being a mind held captive in his own useless shell of a body.

Then the impossible happened. Those words that had been only a childish dream before, appeared before him. Now with a healthy body and a strange new system of his own to explore. He has his impossible second chance at life. One he wasn't going to waste. While just having a healthy body was great. He wasn't willing to settle for just that. No, in the stories like this. There were always chances for individuals to reach unimaginable heights. Heights the former crippled young man wants to reach.

Taking the Assassin class he hopes he can fulfill all his dreams. One deadly thrust at a time as he embarks on his journey.

While Dren sets out on his personal adventure. For Earth as a whole, the biggest threat isn't the new monsters, deadly dungeons, or even the now almost superhuman natives. It is the devious invaders seeking to claim their native world for themselves.

Author's notes:

I selected all the content warnings. While I don't expect some of them to be needed, IE the sexual content mostly. One never knows where a story goes that isn't finished. So better safe than sorry. Just an FYI. The others kinda seem par for the course for the genre.
