Hey Author here, I dropped this novel. I found out Gabriel is the kind of character that does not work as a MC. Also I got bored with Gabriel. Plus the whole purpose of the novel was to test run a campaign setting for a D&D game I was planning. Yet after some time I find myself wanting to write again but I don't want to pick this back up so I am starting a new story. Also to anyone who enjoyed the setting and side characters of Veiled Whispers you are in luck because I plan on using the world/setting and some of the characters for my new up and coming Novel (for at least some of it) I did really like writing scenes with Enoch and Silas so expect them to return (I might literally copy and paste parts their introduction so if it seems familiar it is ) also there is a non zero chance that Gabriel will return as a side character but expect some character changes ( he will probably be more snarky, elitist, and generally like a protagonist from a H.P. Lovecraft novel). So go check it out if you want. (this is still cannon except with the exception of the Enoch and Silas stuff maybe)

Gabriel Locke, a brilliant and adventurous young scholar, finds himself embarking on an extraordinary journey that will forever change his life. Drawn by an insatiable thirst for knowledge and a fascination with the unknown, Gabriel uncovers the existence of an ancient and immensely powerful book rumored to hold the key to supernatural forces beyond comprehension. Intrigued and undeterred by the dangers that lie ahead, he sets off on a perilous quest to uncover the truth behind the elusive Tome.

With each step, Gabriel becomes entangled in a world of mysticism, where ancient secrets and malevolent forces vie for control. He encounters danger as well as an eclectic cast of characters: enigmatic sages, cunning adversaries, and unlikely allies. Will Gabriel unlock the secrets of the ancient book, or will he succumb to the forces that seek to consume him?
