He was a villain, a monster they'd beaten into submission and forced along their quest. The only reason he hadn't been killed originally was that he was from the same place as them. The ruined Earth.</p> <p>And now Henry Stroeder, the Demon of Slaughter, was the only thing that could protect it from what was coming.</p> <p>(The MC of this story is a partially reformed xianxia villain with his only goal being to protect the Earth from the coming apocalypse. He is not a heroic character, nor even a particularly clever one. The setting is a mashup of multiple genres, although the main character's interactions with all of it will be flavored by his own experience with cultivation and his youth on pre-collapse Earth. He is badly traumatized by his experiences, and this makes him more than a little unhinged at times.)</p> <p>(This story will not have harems. I am also not planning on sexually explicit content.
