<p>John made it rich when he was younger and bought a book store in a large adventuring city. He's got enough money to live in comfort for the rest of his very long life so in exchange for books he merely asks for an interesting story. People of all walks of life come in and tell John all about the most interesting things they've done, and John gives them the books they want.</p> <p>This novel is a precursor to the main story I am working on, name TBA. The story will be set in the same world, with the same system, ish. This is... a kind of beta test, I suppose. I find myself struggling with perfection as I write and it slows progress down. So for this story, I will be aiming for mediocrity! High praise, I know, but I hope you enjoy it anyway.</p>
