Two brothers are forced by circumstances into living in the wilds for years. When they discover that there is something different about them, they are unsure what it means, or what to do about it. That is, until a cultivator from a sect discovers them while out on a mission, and offers them a place at the sect. Wary of trusting anyone, they nonetheless agree that some risks are worth taking. One thing they know above all others, is that they will protect each other. No matter what.

This book will be cultivation with some LitRPG elements. There is no overarching system (as in Defiance of the Fall), but there are ways to track progress and quantify things (more akin to The Hero of the Valley, but not a carbon copy of that). The two brothers are the main protagonists, and will remain the main focus of the story all the way through. The older brother will be the main POV, and I don't intend to do many alternate POV's even for the younger brother. This is, however, my first real attempt at writing, so this might change.

As this is my first book, critique is VERY welcome (and needed), but please try to keep it polite. I do have feelings.

The profanity tag is because I tend to curse quite a lot IRL, and this may seep into my writing at some point. I will do my best to keep it from being egregious, but there will probably be some coarse language here and there.

The traumatizing content tag is because the first chapter heavily describes an abusive father. He will only appear on screen for the first chapter, and while this will be referenced as it becomes relevant in the story, it will not be the focus, nor do I have any plans to make such things common in the story. This is your warning however that a good chunk of the first chapter will be hard to read for those who struggle with such triggers.

I hope you enjoy the journey of these two brothers.

(Current upload schedule: Monday-Friday, once a day, Noon PST. Will update here if this changes.)
