<p>The epic follows the fiendish Barlgura; Gehennon, coming off the back of his latest and most defining campaign in the crooked Bleak Eternity of Gehenna. Gehennon is a renowned commander in the Bloodblessed Host, a Demonic horde crusading in the eternal Blood War, thrown from their forward positions after a terrible defeat at the hands of Devils from the Nine Hells. Gehenna, a key realm in the Lower Planes - has been a battle ground for nearly a hundred years. It is the proverbial backdoor to Baator (The Nine Hells), a prized jewel desired by all parties. Gehennon has unfinished business and an infernal desire to bring Gehenna back under Demonic control in an expedition through the Lower Planes that will (hopefully) take both him, and the Host to the very pits of Hell itself.</p> <p>This epic is based loosely on my own interpretation of Wizards of The Coasts' Dungeons and Dragons universe. The events written about aren't entirely inline with any supplements or sub-verses of the official Dungeons and Dragons canon, but borrows heavily from established mainline lore and various other sub-verses connected to Dungeons and Dragons.</p>
