<p>Almost immediately, Lucy realized two things. First, this was no man. His skin was inky and oddly textured, like the thick peel of a banana, with limbs both too long and wrongly proportioned. He had spikes, or quills, that sprouted from his skull in a strange mane. Perhaps most disturbing of all, he had no eyes or mouth that she could see. Just smooth skin over his "face". Second, he was completely bare-ass naked.</p> <p>Lucy's life is kind of a mess: a nursing-school dropout with no real direction, few friends, and a dead-end job that barely pays the bills. But when an injured, naked alien crash-lands right in front of her, she's thrust into an out-of-this-world conflict that's way above her head (literally).</p> <p>Navik, an investigator for the Solar Accord, barely escaped his latest contract with his life after failing to waylay a ring of poachers abducting and enslaving the barely-sentient beings on this backwater planet known as Earth. Now, he must prepare for battle as his enemies close in, report back to the Accord, and close this chapter of his life. Complicating matters? The troublesome human female stirring up feelings he thought he suppressed, feelings that scream "take her" and trapping him between duty and desire.</p>
