Babylon, a magical world protected by a system, and an energy shield to keep the mundane people of the universe from entering it and ruining its fragile magic system with their technology and never ending desire for pirating watery or icy planets. For the last two thousand years the system has had a problem though.

An incursion in the system from the elves of Babylon to influence the system in their favor had cracked the world gem, causing many civilizations to fall, and worse yet, many of the defending gods had fallen to prevent the takeover of the planet by the mundane pirates until the gem could be patched, and air shield could be raised again.

Babylon's system needed to correct the problem. First it raised a new god to monitor the weakened system. The new system god, Lord Kasmar, god of madness and knowledge, split himself many times and turned to divination for help. The system spat out the name of a commoner who could save the world indirectly if they were given the right push by the system. This is the story of a young Elven woman called Etherstaria of the Lark clan. Who might in some tiny fraction of cases, give rise to the creature, who could help bring into being a new creatures who could open a new way to create new powerful heroic creatures. and yes, even new gods, feasible, hopefully before it was too late and he became truly mad.
