When Roy woke up, he was inside an egg. As it turned out, his death may have been less permanent than he would have thought it to be. In the end, though, was this really any better?

Stuck in a world separate from, yet connected to the Earth, where every single living creature is sentient and yet the strong still eat the weak, what is there he can do but fight to survive, even when there is no fight to be had? But he isnät faced with enemies alone. With so many flavours of digital monsters, there are bound to be a few benevolent and kind, who want nothing better than to be his friend. Then again, is that really what he wants? More importantly, is that something he is capable of anymore, in a body like this?

Although this is far from a serious fiction, I have placed my main focus on character and the development of it. Roy's arc won't be a quick one, and it won't end soon.

I feel like it's my duty to mention that you don't need to know the peculiarities of Digimon to be able to follow this story. All you need to know is that digimon are digital monsters in a digital world who digivolve to get stronger and, in certain cases, save said digital world. But not all digimon are so altruistic, Roy certainly being a part of this less-than-virtuous group.

I will try to post daily for the time being!
