<p> Italy, 1950. A womanizer, drinker, gambler and street brawler who happens to be very handsome, charming and charismatic but also an arrogant bad boy gets given a second chance to redeem himself by a man he just met, by joining a group that fights for a greater cause instead of selfish gains. </p> <p> He finds out about a secret conflict that has been raging since the first post-war years in Italy: one side wants to legalize a toxin that causes victims to hallucinate by making them feel like they're trapped inside a nightmare, along with performance enhancers that boost human abilities. They believe that those powers could be very useful for self defence and other means, and that they will make the world a better place, as they believe it's the only way to achieve true equality. </p> <p> However, the opposing side, the one the protagonist has to fight for, is against that, as they believe those products ending up in the wrong hands will cause carnage, and their distribution will most likely be biased towards the upper class, making the powerful even more powerful and causing even more oppression. </p> <p> So, our "hero" enters a world of conflicting ideologies, political intrigues and secret assassinations, as he eventually becomes part of something much bigger than himself, learning things from both his friends and his enemies. </p>
