<p> [participant in the NaNoWriMo Royal Road challenge] </p> <p> Guy gets a power that gives him the power to fuse both human wisdom and artificial cognition. He can split his attention into several parallel tasks, can think faster, and has perfect memory, but his power remains weak for much of the initial chapters. I like to think of the story as more of a slow-character-growth story with the MC learning more about why the world is so brutal rather than a power-wank 'the world has wronged me, so I shall become a raving sociopath' type story. </p> <p> It's a classic heroic story minus the plot armor. Also, it's basically a thin Xianxia-reskin that's more localized for a western audience. The niceness of the main character doesn't just slip off after some bullying (because that doesn't really sound interesting tbh) and the distance he'd go to remain nice is put to the test while the world repeatedly fucks him over. </p>
