<p>When Nora, a scientist from modern earth, finds herself stuck in a dark fantasy world, she does not panic. Well, she does panic, but after the initial turmoil she manages to form a plan: Sciencing the s**t out of this thing called magic, finding out what the dark powers governing the world really want, and if possible getting rid of them along the way. She definitely did not need an amoral Lich extracting information on biological weapons from her mind. Or do something worse.How will the young woman fare in this foreign world? Executed by the king for disrespect against nobility? Handed over to the church by a friendly school nurse? Or simply killed by a thug in the slums? Not allowed to trust anyone, she sets out to do the impossible.</p> <p>Central themes in this novel: Science and magic, weak to strong, schemes and betrayal, my personal weird taste of humor.</p> <p>If you ever catch the protagonist(s) abusing their plot armor in any way, feel free to tell me. I try to be aware of the characters' strengths and weaknesses at any time, throwing in both difficult and easy encounters, the same way a DM would do in a harsh tabletop RPG. Both luck and misfortune should balance in some way or another.</p>
