The Burrows,

A place where life is cheap, and safety an illusion. Located in a natural prison, the great slum of Cedia is home to many a cut-throat. One of them a certain street rat. One who's life will never be the same...

Shouldn't have signed that Contract.

''What you thinking about, Boss?"

''Nothing, Gob. Just contemplating about past regrets.''

''Dick still burning from last night's whore, eh Boss?"

Definitely, shouldn't have signed that Contract.

(Content warning update: Story only contains profanity/gore atm. Sexual/traumatising content may, or may not be added in future chapters. Everything will still be tagged to avoid limiting the way the story could progress.)

In addition, this author is sorry to inform you of the triple threat disclaimer.

Just remember what my grandma used to say: ''Child, life is like taxes...'' before gazing off into the distance. That tends to happen if you have alzheimer's.

Disclaimer I: I'm new new, as in never done any writing before. Never done it in school, never done it for fun. (Until now) So don't be expecting to get butt blasted with literary awesomeness right off the bat. Gotta break my literary virginity gently, lest I be bleeding all over these pages.

Disclaimer duo: I'm a non-native English speaker (and writer if video game chatrooms count). Meaning I grasp English grammatics and spelling as well as a toddler knows the yearly mating habits of a porcupine. (Look it up, shit's weird ) Any helpful links to decent grammar courses would be much apppreciated. (no seriously, I'm desperate) And for you British spelling nazi's out there, I've chosen to write this novel in U.S. English. So no getting on my case if some words are not written like you're used to. You lost the war, deal with it.

Disclaimer three: Since I am new new (which you would know if you read disclaimer I), I've decided to just write for fun. Meaning I don't have the character, setting, nor the story planned out, I'm just putting words on paper in order to improve my writing. I had some planned ideas./settings before, but the resulting abomination that was my very first page discouraged me from writing them now. (I'm scarred, please send help) Thus the choice of just writing stuff off the cuff until I become decent enough.

Release schedule: Since I write slowly (for now) I can only release one readable chapter each week. (trust me, you don't want to see my rough drafts) As such, every Friday I will post a single chapter. If by some miracle (Iphone 7 getting audio jacks) I write fast enough, bonus chapters will be released on Monday.

P.S. Thank you for reading the disclaimers, nothing annoys me more than people whining about things they haven't even properly read. But seriously, you're a good person, now go forth and burn my work to the ground with your fiery (I still can't believe that's a word) critique.
