<p>In the year 444, Imperial Calendar, amidst the first blizzard of early winter, a once-proud clan meets its downfall. The cherished emblem of the Anyi, a symbol of their heritage, is mercilessly swallowed by a deluge of aggressors as their people face annihilation. The few who survive are cast into the harsh winds of desperation, scattering in all directions. Many among them set their course southward, toward the Kundishelm, where the Rose Clan resides. Yet, not all will reach their destination. Among the fortunate few are two children from a controlled and privileged class known as the Ashern.</p> <p>Raiden Anyi, a commoner, and Nova Anyi Fable, a direct descendant of House Fable, find themselves formally welcomed into the illustrious Kadalis, one of the great noble houses of the Rose. It's within these walls that their fates first intertwine, creating a narrative where the story of one is inseparable from the other.</p> <p>Although their journey begins within the protective walls of Kadalis, its origins trace back to the loss of their heartland. Their story, however, starts elsewhere. Thirteen years after the fall of their clan, as early autumn drapes itself over the southern Rose border. Raid and Nova, now grown adults and holding positions as officers within the 2nd Kundis Allied Army, march toward a battlefield that will one day be etched into the annals of history as the Battle of Hill 46.</p>
