Otto doesn't like Superheroes.

Everyone else does. They're perfect beacons of morality who can do no evil, kissing babies and saving cats stuck in trees. He felt the same for most of his early life, until a hero's negligence lead to his parent's untimely death.

Now, he can't help but see blood on their hands everywhere he looks. He wants nothing to do with them; unlike others his age, he has no interested in being chosen by the Administrator and the contract they offer humans on Earth, nor the powers that come with it. Being superhuman sounds like a burden and a curse, not a blessing.

Unfortunately for him, he doesn't get a say in the matter.

* * *

This is a fiction I am working on for the Writathon. It is not my main project, so I expect it will be rough around the edges and sporadic in its updates. I intend for it to be a way for me to get some reps in on writing consistently, and to have some fun.

*4/20/24 update, looking to update at least once/week, occasionally with an extra here and there. Hopefully never less than one, though.

I recently read and very much so enjoyed Super Supportive; this is not a fan-fiction, but it is obviously heavily inspired in a number of ways. If you enjoyed that, I hope you will enjoy this as well. It will differ in far more ways than it is similar, but the core concept is very similar (superheroes via alien intervention).

I expect the start to be slow.

Thank you for reading!
