In many fantasy stories, it is often revealed about halfway through or close to the end, that the world the story takes place in was actually built upon the remains of an ancient, advanced civilization (Typically Earth or the planet of 'That place that looks like Earth, but definitely isn't Earth and for some reason has humans...) that got whipped out by some magical apocalypse or a pissed off god or something similar. The Old World is dead and soon forgotten, and emerging from the ashes of magical radiation and crumbling cities is a new people with magic, monsters, and your typical fantasy races.

It's a trope that is quite popular in Japanese LN, and I wanted to write a book that explores what is happening during this trope, rather than just alluding to it later. The fall of civilization, the discovery of magic, and the creation of new civilizations that follow the laws of this new world.

In our story, we shall be experiencing this through the eyes of Lain, a twenty-year-old girl that never got to graduate high school because the world up and ended on everyone. Now she is trying to survive in a world that considers humans as prey and the idea of 'humanity' as nothing more than a cute suggestion.

Join Lain on her journey as she tries to live in this new world, survive against threats that consider her to be food, and maybe even loses her own humanity.

This is the birth of a new world.

---

Note: This story contains Lesbians and same sex relationships. For some reason there is no tags for this on RR so I am putting it here. If you don't like stories with gay people in it, please feel free to not read.

-Writing Status-

Book 1 [80,000 words] - Complete and posted as of Dec. 1st 2023.

Book 2 [100,000 words] - Complete and posted as of Feb. 18th 2024.

Book 3 [111,000 words]- Being posted.
