<p>Russell lived a quiet life, doing all the normal things a modern society demanded of him; a steady career, a small group of close friends, and enough hobbies to distract him from how vacuous living had become. He went through the motions, slowly growing numb to the mundanity of his routine. When the Framework began the process of integrating his Universe, however, he found that the sheer weight of everyday living hadn't managed to completely snuff out his fire for life.
