Another MMORPG: Eden Online follows our protagonist Oliver, the pacifist. What can a guy do in a world built for battle?

Make tea, of course.

(So I wasn't going to really address this so soon, but it looks like I sparked a possible issue. Obviously with the new trend of using ai generated stories and RR's new policy on these, we are touching on some grey areas. One of which is the question of if I'd be considered an author of this story or not.

Personally, I would not say I authored this story. I skirted around this term in my 1st comment naming myself conductor instead. My ideas, yes, but using an AI, like ChatGPT, is something that will never showcase my personal talents, and weaknesses, in writing. BUT I will always support the use of tools like AI, Photoshop, and spellcheck, and whatever tool you are going to use in the future to make content/art. I am even going to use them myself. I'm having too much fun having just discovered AI myself this week, and I wont be stopping anytime soon. Hense my sudden reappearance from my hiatus.

Do I think art is better when it isn't assisted by programs like photoshop or AI's, yes, but I also see the value of using them, especially when all you want is to crank out some content for your own enjoyment. In some cases, the quality these machines produce is an improvement, making it helpful for those who lack the understanding, skills, or time to create a passing piece of art in a field they might have no talent in.

I dont know about you, but holding yourself back from your self expression just because you are unable to perfect a set of skills is a lame limiter to put on yourself, especially when there are perfectly good tools you can use to get the job done. Will the quality stagnate? yes, and only those who work hard to nurture their talents will be able to produce art better than those generated by machines. If you feel your work is being over shadowed by AI's or those using electronic art pads, then you'll need to work harder to surpass those tools. But to me, it is already obvious that AI and art programs have limits. They can help many beginner artists, or artists who struggle, elevate their works to an extent. Some can push past those limit by using those tool to their greatest limit, but so far none have been able to produce the best quality.

The more machines get involved with art, the lower the quality they produce. Photoshop art will always be better than AI art, and Hand made art will always be better than Photoshop art. But someone using photoshop will produce more work than someone hand painting a picture. Someone using AI will create faster than someone using photoshop. pros and cons.

We live in a materialistic society that is constantly advancing, and with it our art will advance too, bring with it new challenges. I have in the past tried to stay away from using computers to create art, and was later shown what a fool I was for being so stuck in my ways. Especially when it comes to staying relevant.

Which brings me to this story. I have tagged this story from the start as AI generated and Assisted. Technically its only AI assisted under RR's new definition, but I still tagged it as generated anyway. Why? Because ChatGPT and most likly all the other AI's will have certain grammar habits that they produce. It shows heavily in this story and I decided to work with those habits rather than fight them. Because of that, I seemed to have started a serge of reviews on AI generated content. When I saw my work was the 1st reviewed on a list geared toward AI content, I knew I had sparked something bad. And sure enough I have set the lowest standard for this field..... yay me.

I may not like it, but I see why I would hit that mark. I will admit that I didnt try to cover up the fact I was using AI. I didnt think I needed to. I grew up reading google translated stories, and I loved them, so much so I ate them like chips. So when I ran out of snacks, i turned to writing to fill that void. I never really cared for creating 'professional' level work, because all I wanted was a story to fill my day. So this week when i discovered AI generated stories existed. I dived in head 1st.

But now I regret it, because there is now a number of other artists being graded with me as a backdrop. Which isnt fair. The point should not be, "Find the AI" but rather, "What is the story." If all you care about is the flavor of the text, then you are missing the presentation of the meal. If flavor was really so important...we wouldn't have fast food. So if you are that guy who's mission is to find the AI in an AI generated story...please stop.

In time you may find what you are looking for, especially when people get better at using these new tools, but chill out until then. I dont need readers, I want to BE a reader, but I cant fill my addiction fast enough. So now that there's a new way of producing content that is going to open an entire world of ideas brough forth by those who couldnt write before, I want to nurture it. Shaming these new age writers for not being able to hide the AI, is doing nothing but taking the focus away from their stories. And I dont appreciate that. If you want content where you dont want to see AI. Then don't read AI content. Kindly step off.)
