The chance is great that I'm going to die soon, and along with me, all existence. My name is Eros, and I am preparing for the final fight to save the existence as we know it. Perhaps I'm getting ahead of myself. You see, my name wasn't always Eros.</p> <p>It might be best to start at the beginning, instead of the ending. My name is also Steve. Originally, I ran a bakery. I had a lot of money and my life seemed to be just perfect. That is, until my ex-wife Haley died. Things like that can turn a man sour. But not only that, I felt as if I had a secret hiding within me.</p> <p>Depression hit me like a hard brick, though it seems so long ago now. A shadow man started to hunt me and things went from bad to worse. An epic journey awaited me, a journey that would not only change me, but would also change the fate of everyone I would meet during my journey. This is my journal entry that details my many adventures. I will call this entry, the chosen one, next door.</p> <p>P.S. I have learned about many things by now what happened aside from my own journey. I'm adding these interludes to the diary since Clara keeps pressing me to do so. In these interludes, I will tell you a part of the journey from another person's perspective.</p> <p>New chapters are released every day.Chapter length is a minimum of 1500 words.</p> <p>What to expect from this book?— You read this book as if Steve lives it, and when he is not paying attention to details, you won't get them, this goes hand in hand with his mental state.— An MC that is clearly not the hero and loves to commit violent acts — Slow but steady character development as more of the story will be unveiled with each chapter— A strong focus on the side characters and on how they are important as well— Steady power progression as characters learn more about themselves— Adapted Greek mythology that interacts with the world, and the characters— A first-person narrative, following how Steve feels about events, mostly confused and not having many answers— Many battles with either small or big monsters— Nothing is what it seems— Bad guys who are occasionally friendly enough to let the protagonist talk with each other during combat.</p> <p>Important book tag explanations and when they are triggered (no spoilers)— The anti-hero lead tag is on because the protagonist, who claims to be the hero, loves to commit violent acts, murder not excluded— The gender bender tag comes into play at a later moment, mainly in chapter 96 and will continue to play a prominent role in this book— The genetically engineered tag comes into play much later on when reveals are made, but you can try to guess who is superior from the cast— The technologically engineered tag comes into play rather quickly when a certain bad guy is too revealed to have a robotic arm, no more needs to be said— The Progression tag comes into play throughput the book, as the characters learn more about themselves and spend time training, they become stronger— The time travel tag comes into play at the end of the book, what it entails, you will have to wait and read— The female lead comes into play rather late in the book, at the interlude called, meeting the ferryman, she will take her rightful place as the female lead for the series— The grimdark tag is because this book can get quite grim, and extremely violent, no worries the main characters will have fresh breathing episodes between traumatic experiences, hopefully.— Some other tags like magic, high fantasy and others talk for themselves and will be gradually entwined into the story</p> <p>What to expect from me?— I will listen to feedback and continue fighting grammar— Answer any questions, unless you ask for spoilers— Never forget to release a new chapter</p>
