How would you like to reinvent yourself? To leave your problems behind and start life as a new person in a new world? Twenty-seven year old Markus Wolfe is at the lowest point in his life when he's offered what seems like the chance of a lifetime. And since his other best option currently is stepping off a tall building, he leaps at an alternative. Only, like most things that seem too good to be true, it isn't.

Or at least, it might be, but he has to survive a year in a forest completely uninhabited by any civilised race to find out. With Jurassic Park rejects and other strange amalgamations of familiar animals seeing him as their next dinner, what hope does he have of that?

He's going to have to use the knowledge he's been given along with his new Tamer Class to build everything he needs to survive...and maybe even thrive.

What to expect:

- Regular posting schedule (5 chapters per week). Current special of two chapters per day for the first two weeks.

- Weak to strong character over time. This story takes a while to build the foundations of the character's later strength. Patience will be rewarded!

- Light GameLit elements (stats, levelling system, skills, magic, etc.)

- Survival fantasy, reminiscent of survival games - this character has to build his equipment (and the tools to make his equipment) from the ground up.

- Awesome sidekicks: the story is called Taming Destiny, after all...

- Exploration and discovery of all shapes and sizes.

- Some dark themes: I don't pull any punches when it comes to describing the action. Members of PETA or the RSPCA had better look away now. That said, I wouldn't describe it as 'gory'. The first few chapters also include references to potentially triggering themes such as alcoholism, depression, and suicide. The character's mental state does improve significantly over time, though. This is not, however, grimdark fantasy.
