An elf, a robot, and a 20-year-old nobody walk into a tavern. They can all wield magical cards to cast powerful spells and summon ferocious creatures. Chaos ensues.

Ethan Fortier's life is a mess. His father is absent and his mother spends all her time working to afford to pay sky-high medical bills. His little sister Katie is terminally ill and he'd do anything to put a smile back on her face. It's enough to make a college dropout snap... until he's whisked away to the world of Cardcaster, a universe where creatures, spells, and legendary items are locked inside trading cards--all waiting for a Cardcaster to command them. Ethan will befriend a warrior elf named Yri and a curious floating robot named Datatron, who are both Cardcasters from other universes. They'll have to collect all of the game's cards in order to return to their homes. But what brought them all here, and why? Untold dungeons await them, all full of fantastic monsters, dangerous sorcery, mysterious treasures, and other perils... and they're not the only Cardcasters here. Not everyone is as friendly as them, either.

Cardcaster is an isekai LitRPG with card game elements. Content rating is approximately PG to PG-13. Expect lots of notifications and numbers that go up plus some stat-building, as well as a slow start and a slow buildup at first. This story is a slow burn with long arcs (and multiple books) planned out in advance. Expect compact, rapid-fire chapters usually between 1k and 1.5k words. Cardcaster has a backlog with daily updates Monday-Friday.
