*Book 1 now finished*

Nearly 8 centuries ago, humanity rose up against their God.

Humanity failed. Humanity lost.

The Warrior was successfully imprisoned, but at great cost. Billions of normal humans and hundreds of thousands of superhumans perished. The resultant fallout, collapse of society and Titan rampage lasted for over 15 years and destroyed the vast majority of civilization. Survivors were forced into hiding, nations were dissolved and life as all knew it ceased to be.

The year is now 747 AC.

Overgrown ruins of the ancients cover the earth, and new societies have formed. The Blessed, powerful superhumans, are far more numerous and can grow vastly more powerful thanks to Akashic's System. The Titans, walking monstrosities once sent by a cruel God to punish mankind, have begun to develop proto-personalities after their master was caged. Though they no longer attack humanity as rabidly, they remain a constant threat.

Superhuman feudalism is in full swing, the world now composed of countless nations, city–states, and factions vying for control, dominance, and resources. Immortals, Godkin possessing near–Titan levels of power, make playthings out of mundane humanity. Earth Bet is nowhere near as organized, civilized, or technologically advanced as it was before.

Normal humans, now almost a minority, have become a pseudo-slave class in most societies. The Labyrinth ejects hordes of monsters upon the surface world. Pockets of peace and prosperity are few and far between in the new world, and danger is always around the corner.

And humanity's brief respite is about to end. The High Priest rots at his post, and the Warrior's freedom nears. He will not be tricked again, and mankind stands far less prepared for him this time.

Welcome to Ormyr.

*Disclaimer*: Ormyr is loosely based on the Parahumans series by Wildbow. Though reading it is not at all necessary to enjoy or understand Ormyr, I do highly recommend it all the same. I do not claim any of the characters from the Parahumans series as my own.

Posting schedule is currently twice a week, on Wednesdays and Saturdays.
