Humanity was lost. A war with invaders from another galaxy led to humans fleeing their solar system to live in Arks, spaceships capable of housing millions of people. After hundreds of years of constant fleeing and battles with their enemy, the last Ark had fallen. Manusya, the last survivor living inside a carrier ship that escaped the Ark is humanity's last and only hope. His ship has the capability to cultivate life on a suitable planet that was to be humanity's new home. After a long search and hundreds of cryosleep, he finally found a suitable planet, albeit one that is a gamble because of the unknown energy that was detected from its solar system.

His role was as a steward for the new humans, their guide to a better tomorrow. His ship would reform the lands and introduce flora and fauna to this habitable planet, and Manusya would be awakened from his cryosleep when the new humans were ready for his guidance. Unfortunately, things did not go as planned. The unknown energy allowed mutations to appear in the plants and animals that were introduced to the planet. Subspecies of humans evolved and animals became terrifying beasts and monsters. The unknown energy was called Aether by the new humans, and it also allowed them to manipulate the environments and performed feats beyond even the previous humans.

Manusya's slumber was cut short unexpectedly when a young boy from a nearby village found a cave near the mountain that hid Manusya's ship. He awoke to a world struggling with war, famine and inequality. The ship was also in disrepair, and he could not fall back into cryosleep. With his original plans ruined, he must contend with a world that was not ready for his guidance, and he must make a choice on whether he should interfere and step into the fray.

What to Expect:

-Technological Uplift

-Kingdom-Building

-A focus on culture, characters and society. The one part I dislike about kingdom-building stories is that it focuses too much on the Macro-level and does not dive into people's lives that were affected. I love when we see how people react to new technological development, how their lives improved, and so on. Release That Witch is a good example of this.

Why I Wrote This

If you click on my profile, you might have noticed I wrote some stories in the past. I wrote those web novels when I was in middle school and high school. I am now an adult, and I want to be in touch with my creative side more. Having a creative profession is still one of my dreams, so I would like to flesh out my writing skills by simply writing something I enjoy. You should not expect anything literary or beautiful in prose, as this story is more in line with a more light novel style of writing, but I will still try to do my best in improving my writing.

On Grammar and Writing

These chapters are essentially very lightly-edited drafts, or sometimes even first drafts. I want to write straight from the heart just to simply write, but this also means you might see grammatical errors and mistakes. I apologize for this, and in the future, hopefully I can get a more edited version out.

Release Schedule

With my busy real-life schedule, I cannot guarantee anything. I will try to aim for a weekly or bi-weekly release after the initial burst of releases. I apologize if this will turn you off, but I will write when I can. My aim is not to gain views, in any case, but simply to write for my own enjoyment and improvement as a writer.

On Scientific and Academic Accuracy

As this is a kingdom-building novel, of course there will be times when I will need to touch on some topics related to all manners of fields such as science, politics, technology and so on. I am not an expert in any of these fields, especially science. I will attempt to research some things but I cannot guarantee everything will be accurate. There will be a mix of futuristic technology and magic to speed up development and make up for the lack of scientific accuracy. Thus, I apologize if you see any mistakes, and hope that you can suspend your disbelief for a bit.

Disclaimer on Art

This story utilizes a lot of art, from the cover art, characters, scenes, outfits, machines, armors, weapons, animals, monsters and so on. As a disclaimer, yes those art are AI-generated by myself. I would like to say that I do not condone AI art for any nefarious activities that disadvantage real human artists. I am simply a very visual person that like to depict everything visually. For example, I am also a Dungeon Master in a DnD game and I portray every single map, scene, characters and so on. I see everything in a very movie-like way and it also helps me write better. As this story is not a simple European Fantasy but rather use a blend of many different cultures and futuristic technology, the art that I would need are highly specific, and the only way to have a high quantity of it would be generative art. So I hope you understand, but I apologize if this offends anybody.
