When Valerie Von Medvey, the first synthetic to marry a human is murdered, Detective Cutter and Celia are on the case. Unfortunately, the rest of the LAPD does not see the crime as anything more than vandalism. And in some sense, the precinct is correct. An attack that would have terminated living flesh, leaves Valerie traumatized, seeing attackers around every corner. But this also provides Cutter with an opportunity he has never had before--a living witness to help him solve her own murder.

FOREVER SIX is the 2nd book in the CUTTER CASE FILES, a cyberpunk, future noir detective novel.

CONTENT NOTE: There are sexual themes and mild sexual content. Nothing explicit. However, this is a gritty cyberpunk world, where people modify their bodies, with a detective and a child synthetic investigating multiple homicides--cases about humanoid robots being murdered--which in this world, are treated more akin to vandalism than murder. Celia's story also incorporates coming-of-age elements within this world of body modification. One of the major themes of this book is that Celia is a child that can never age. There is one chapter in particular in the middle of the book that I will put a trigger warning on for sensitive readers. The theme of the series as a whole (THE CUTTER CASE FILES) is that of an unlikely father, Detective Cutter, raising a synthetic daughter, Celia, in ultra-modern times. It touches on themes relating to parenthood and adolescence and growing up within the context of a cyberpunk world. Author's Note: FOREVER SIX is the sequel to DAMAGED GOOD. The sequel is a standalone and completely self-contained. There is a planned 3rd book, SERVICE BLUES, which I plan to release here as well if people are into it. I'm new to Royal Road. Tipping my toes in the water. I have plans to release a LitRPG series, as well. Just seeing if there's any interest in some of my older unfinished/partially/nearly finished works. And maybe this will be encouragement to finish them. Thanks :)
