<p> [Participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge] </p> <p> In a world without seasons or night-day alternation, Metello's parents had been murdered. He had not been one year old yet. Therefore, he had had to grow up in an orphanage as the only black-haired kid in the city, spending most of his time in a modest library drawing and reading heroes' stories. </p> <p> After his thirteen's birthcycle, as his coming of age ceremony was getting closer, he had to think about what kind of job he wanted to do during his adult life to be able to choose a basic class related to it. Eager to quit the city where he grew up, he chose to become a monster hunter with the [Lux Acolyte] class. </p> <p> How would his life change due to this choice? How would he progress in the streets of a city that hated him for what he was? How would he respond to the incoming great calamity? </p> <p> For sure, he would need the help of comrades and friends, but he would need to become strong by himself too, thanks to the powers of the god he chose to follow: Lux, goddess of light, beauty, art, and battle against the undead. </p> <p> It's my first attempt at writing in English.
