When our world was coming to its predictable end they invented virtual worlds to entrap us a little while longer. Games to keep us from caring too much. Games to keep us productive. But the algorithms were too powerful. They melded with our minds and worlds began to collide.

They're called the Simulacrum – Scums, for short. Bizarre cyborgs who manifest their own mechanical enhancements organically—like high-tech tumors—the twisted cybernetics transforming them into any monster they can possibly imagine. They think they're just playing the game, but they've forgotten how to be human.

Ava awakens in this world lacking any memories of her own. But right away it all begins to feel hauntingly surreal. Like a game. She has powers she can't explain. She summons items at will. And as a multitude of mysteries unravel she has every reason to worry: am I becoming one of them?

Am I mutating into some sort of video-game monster?

Or, possibly – could the truth be even worse?

This is gonna be one of those Sci Fi/Fantasy story-rich action-packed slow-burn LitRPG sagas spanning hundreds upon hundreds of episodes. We'll be bending our brains with big themes questioning the nature of reality while examining our addictions to violence and conspiracy theories. And we're going to kick a bunch of ass while we go because it's fun. The action is plentiful but the story and the System are unpacked more deliberately(the first arc is around 50 episodes(~110k words)).

Posting every Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday while working toward 4 episodes per week as soon as possible. Many thanks!

Cover Art by zonked-eye.
