This is the story of Alyssa and Mireille, two girls in a world of Magic. They are forced to leave their homes by differing circumstances and must come to terms with their own magical abilities and the problems those bring. Alyssa is hunted for what she is, while Mireille is not certain what and who she wants to be but drifting along is not an option when her life is on the line. They live in a world that is torn by strife where humanity is not the pinnacle of existence.

This is a world of high fantasy.

It is my first written story.

I am a non-native speaker.

I will not go out of my way to shock people but the content will at times be traumatizing for sensitive people. At the moment I would guess the story to be PEGI 16 perhaps? It's light on the profanity at least?

Cover from unsplash.com

I have always been a storyteller (even if the quality of said stories might be open for discussion). In elementary school I read the Nibelungenlied and recounted that in class a chapter an hour (with the teacher's permission) thinking it nothing strange until much later in my life and then continued on to tabletop RPG.

One day I simply started writing, and boy was it a problem to switch from only reading and listening (and I don't get to talk to englisch-speaking people much) to actively forming sentences and finding the right words. Now, more than a year later, I think I'm slowly getting the hang of it. So if bad or clunky grammar bothers you a lot I have to admit to both (especially in the beginning), but it truly gets better with time. I really want to finish the story first before going for an in-depth edit of the beginning (having made some more edit-passes up to now at least), so it might take a while for that to happen. Whoever takes a chance on my writings will have my gratitude, though (for what it's worth) because I really liked some aspects of it and hope to share it with more people.

As always- thanks for reading.
